From Deflated To #UNSTOPPABLE

I've got a question for you.

Are you feeling like someone sucked the air out of your balloon?

After the year we've had, it would make sense if you are. Trust me. I've been feeling it too and it's gotten in the way of my creativity. Which has totally sucked!

But I discovered something over the last few days that has re-inflated my balloon and I want to share it with you. Hint: It has to do with the hashtag above.

A LITTLE BACKSTORY

Every New Year's Eve I used to choose a word for the new year. A word that would serve as a theme. The last few years I haven't. I don't know why I stopped, I just did.

BUT...

Most recently I read a book by Evan Carmichael called, "Your One Word: The Powerful Secret To Creating A Business and Life That Matter." And it all came back to me...the excitement of choosing a word. However, this time was different. This wasn't just a word to represent the year, this was a word to represent me and my work in the world.

WHY THIS WORD?

I used to be anything but unstoppable. I used to play small. I used to be an echo in a sea of voices afraid to speak up. I used to settle in relationships and jobs. I used to do a lot of things that diminished my personal power and stood in the way of going after what I wanted.

That was until I started truly working on my mindset. I became a woman on a mission to quiet my inner critic and the "You can't" B.S. she tried to feed me. In hindsight, what I've actually been doing all this time is becoming unstoppable so that I could help others do the same.

Makes sense as to why my new word excites me. It's my new lens for seeing things, for creating things, not to mention forming a new tribe of #UNSTOPPABLES.

ARE YOU READY TO INFUSE EXCITEMENT?

I started out my post with a question. And I want to end it with this; if you're ready to infuse some excitement, I invite you to experiment with discovering your own word.

Here are some questions to help get the discovery process underway. (No form to fill out, I promise.) After you've answered them, look for the themes. What do they have in common? List the words that represent that commonality and from that list of words, look for the one word that excites you!

CAVEAT: Make sure it's a word that produces waves of excitement and not a word you think you SHOULD choose.

(If you get stuck and could use some help in finding your word, please don't hesitate to reach out.)

After you've found your word, use it as a guide for the things you do. Let it support you in showing up as you!! Have fun with it!

Speaking of fun, I'm off to create some #UNSTOPPABLE content.

Much love to you all!
