Solutions to disrupt the cognitive traffic jams

I liken going after what we want personally and professionally to being on a road trip.

And as your co-road tripper, I'm in the passenger seat, holding your itinerary and snacks. With a stash of brain geekery in the glovebox to support you in getting out of any of the cognitive traffic jams that may try and slow things down.

Think of those jams as data, like the indicator lights on the car's dashboard or a GPS alert. They're a heads up that something needs attention, so you can keep from getting stuck in the bumper-to-bumper mental gridlock that causes stress and burnout.

Which is usually what happens when those alerts get ignored, or worse, mistaken for the truth about who you are and what you're capable of.

So, together we decipher those alerts so you can keep moving. Replacing any crappy, jam-related feelings with an “I can do this” feeling. Because it's that feeling that's the fuel in the tank that keeps you going until you reach your destination.

What is your brain doing?

Your brain and nervous system aren't trying to sabotage you; they're working overtime trying to keep you safe.

So, when you're stressed and overloaded, your brain pulls out of activities like big-picture thinking and drops into protection mode. That's when the alerts start flashing more often: thinking gets fuzzy, decisions turn into analysis paralysis, and instead of options that can get you moving and grooving, your brain kicks in with those old crappy stories.

That's where our work together comes in.

What We Can Do Together

In our work together we:

  • Explore how things like imposter syndrome, comparison, people's opinions, and other cognitive traffic jams may be hijacking your focus and keeping your ideas stuck on that piece of paper.

  • Clear the energy drains that come from solution fatigue and decision fatigue, so you're not idling in place.

  • Calm your brain and nervous system so you're not holding onto the “steering wheel” with white-knuckles.

  • Get curious about the stories that have you "ghosting" yourself and your ideas, second-guessing, or “pulling off the road."

  • Turn your important ideas from "someday" into a doable plan that you're excited to start right away.

  • Create action plans designed for how your brain works, because that's what keeps you on the road.

  • Stop the morphing, the contorting, and the “going along to get along” that keeps you driving a route that doesn’t fit you.

And all of this happens in a space that's safe and judgment-free, because what you think and feel matters. So...

If you're willing to do the work and let the insight surface, change will happen and movement will start. And while I know that change can be scary...you're not doing any of it alone. I'm right there in the passenger seat.

Not sure you're ready for the full road trip yet? We can start with a shorter ride.

I offer a one-time Cognitive Traffic Jam Breakthrough Session, a focused 60-minute session where you bring one idea, goal, or decision that's stuck on paper. We'll check the dashboard together, see what's actually flashing, clear a jam or two, and map out next steps that fit you.

The next step...

is simple.

Let's chat. No pressure at all.

Just a conversation where you can share what's happening in your brain and your business, ask questions, and together we'll figure out if I’m the right co-road tripper for you, your goals, and your ideas.

If I am, we get to road tripping towards the destinations that matter most to you. If I'm not, no worries. What’s important is you finding the right co-road tripper for you.
