What's Within U: Life changing coaching &psychic readings
"Life isn't about finding yourself. Life is about creating yourself." - George Bernard Shaw
It feels like yesterday that I was standing in the ladies bathroom of a restaurant, talking to an acquaintance and balling my eyes out.
I was 36, divorced, a single mom with no clear direction, living off credit cards to put food on the table. I felt like a loser, a complete and total failure.
That was my rock bottom. I was tired and I wanted, no I needed a change.
So I did what I thought was the next best step for me. I applied for a student loan and enrolled in graduate school. While being an adult learner was a blast, I didn’t gain any more insight into what I wanted to be (do) going forward and here’s why…
I didn’t have a clue as to who the hell I was, my own ‘why’….the things that made me tick. Without knowing my why I continued to chase my tail, trying on different things for size. Gaining a Master’s degree in a subject that I thought was me, but really wasn’t.
The Universe must have been tired of watching me chase my tail because it put in front of me an opportunity; a scholarship to enroll in a coach training program.
What's funny, I didn’t take advantage of the opportunity at first. I didn't think I could cut the mustard as a coach...so I continued to try different things on for size that didn't fit at all.
Fried and feeling hopeless I took a chance, I enrolled in the coach training program and even hired my own coach. While I thought I was just going to learn about becoming an effective coach, what I gained was far more than that. I gained my why and then my what (the things I do) began to make more sense.
Fast forward to today…
I feel blessed to have gotten off the hamster wheel of uncertainty and directionless.
I’m living a life of my own design and doing work in the world that is totally me. Work that I love.
And here’s what I’ve come to know as a result of my journey from not knowing my why to knowing it and living it…
Every single one of us has the ability to get to know who we are at our core so that what we do has more meaning. The kicker often is in figuring it out and putting the pieces together in a way that not only makes sense, but feels right.
So my mission is to utilize my why and what to help as many people as possible discover their own….so they stop the struggling, stop the pain of trying things on that don’t fit, stop the feelings of failure and the lack of direction.
The bottom line; we've got amazing lives and/or businesses to create, ones that fit who we are!
If you've gotten to this point and you're saying to yourself, "She's speaking my language, but I want to know more." I get it!

A few fun factoids ...
I'm a loving partner in an amazing, loving relationship.
I seem to have become a collector of oracle cards, with a few decks of tarot cards thrown in for good measure.
I love music and have sung in the choir and even had a small stint in a garage band. I still sing, but only in the car and shower.
I'm an animal lover. Although, I must admit, I'm not huge fan of reptiles unless it's a lizard.
I'm from the state of great BBQ, Dorothy,Toto, and sunflowers.
I'm a KC Chiefs' fan.
I have a heart and I'm not afraid to share or use it.
I'm a cryer, yep...I've been known to cry during Super Bowl commercials.
I'm a recovering co-dependent realizing that the only person's well-being we are ever really responsible for is our own. (This was a tough fire to walk through!)
I love to listen to others and support them on their journey to find the best solutions for them.
I love presenting to large groups, but am an introvert by nature.
I've quite a few work-related experiences while trying to figure out what I wanted to be when I grew up; a teacher in a classroom setting, a business owner of an internet production company, an independent contractor, co-founder of a non-profit AIDS prevention organization, and an editor. While I've enjoyed all my career choices, none have fit me nearly as well as an intuitive, certified coach, and teacher.
I have a B.A. in Creative Writing which I say gives me to make up words.
I also have a Masters in Industrial/Organizational Psychology. (Try saying that 10 times fast, I dare ya.)
I'm a trained coach, Coaching Out of the Box licensed trainer, and a licensed Corporate Coach U Coaching Clinic Facilitator. I am also a faculty member of CoachInc.com, teaching some of the finest people in the world about the various coaching skills and how to incorporate them into their coaching practices.
